Students should be finished writing all questions from page 27 and have up to C completed if possible. A reminder that your test is Tuesday and there is homework for your "Slang Dictionary" due on Monday.

Please be prepared to give your presentation on an article from "biography" tomorrow!

Please have the exercise on "Synonyms" on page 27 complete for tomorrow. This means you must find two synonyms for each of the ten words given and then write a sentence for each of these synonyms. Please make sure that the sentence you are writing shows that you know the meaning of the word.

Be ready to present your "Biography" selection on Thursday. Each presentation should be 1-2 mins. and include a short summary as well as your personal feelings on the piece. Please see your outline for further information.

All students should have looked through the book "Biography" and have picked and read a piece that they want to report on. Please know the title as well as the author and page number for tomorrow.

For Tuesday September 18th; Journal Response "What I really want to know....". For NEXT Monday, Students should be working on their "Slang Dictionary". You should include the following: 25+ slang terms (one from every letter of the alphabet if possible), all words broken into syllables, respellings included in brackets, accent marks, and definitions complete. This is a draft copy ONLY.
